Cadet Orientation Rides Information
Requesting Cadet Orientation Rides:

Check available dates on this website calendar, Sundays and Tuesdays.

Send an email to michael.petran@cawgcap.org to request a specific date.

Note: Generally, a squadron will be allowed to schedule one day a month.

Before coming out to Los Alamitos for Cadet Orientation Rides:

Cadets should take both the "Wing Runner Course" and "Aircraft Handling Course" available in eServices.

Send a copy of the "Cadet Orientation Flights" report to michael.petran@cawgcap.org. Steps to run the report are listed below:

Login to "eServices".

Goto "Menu/Operations Qualifications".

Select "Ops Quals".
-
Select "Reports".
-
Select "Orientation Flights".
-
Select your "Organization".
-
Click "View Report".
-
Retrieve and send the file from your "Download" folder.

CAPID Card
-
Sunscreen
-
Sunglasses
-
Hats
-
Food/water
-
Weather appropriate clothing with Civil Air Patrol (CAP) identification on it (ABUs are not recommended, but can be worn).

2. Arrive by the specified time (Sundays - 1000Hrs, Tuesdays - 1200Hrs) and check in at the office.

Can GA aircraft land there? No, but if you are in a corporate aircraft, special arrangements could be made.
